The opposition between illusion and reality is not a fixed binary. More often, these two states intermingle—blending, reflecting, and dissolving into one another—blurring the boundaries of both creation and interpretation. When illusion takes form, it generates new, plural worlds; when reality yields space, it offers a meditative aesthetic. As days and stars shift above, layered narratives unfold, all pointing to a singular act: traversing illusion and grounding into reality, continuously deconstructing and reconstructing our perceptions of the present, and rearticulating the flux between self and surroundings.
Silhouette in the Mist marks a fresh curatorial endeavor, built upon several conceptual frameworks. The exhibition was designed in two distinct versions—Daylight and Dusk—leveraging the interplay between artificial lighting and natural light sources to expand the spatial identity of the artworks and introduce a constantly transforming visual landscape. A small stage at the entrance became an open platform for live actions, artist talks, and workshops, deliberately challenging the fixity of spatial function and audience expectation.
Guided interventions by staff and spontaneous audience behaviors further animated the space, allowing for moments of unpredictability and intimate interaction. Within this dynamic design, the presence and participation of viewers became integral to the exhibition itself, transforming the gallery into a perpetually shifting field of perception—one where reality and illusion cease to be opposites, and instead become mirrors of each other.

虚与实并非是自然二元对立的：更多时候，它们交织、互文，相互影响与浸染，模糊创造与解读的边界。当虚境化实，再造多元世界；当实境留白，表意沉浸美学，日月星转，层层叙事共同指向一个终点——穿虚走实，不断打破及重构当下的见解与感受，再叙人与周遭间的关系流动。以镜为依，串联场内的人、景、物，构建真实与虚幻的多重隐喻。
作为一次全新的策展实践，本次展览糅合了以下几点巧思：不仅设置了晨昏两版展设，借助灯光装置和自然光源的变化，在延展实体作品在地性的同时，打造更为游移的人造景观；同时，借由前厅入口处的小舞台，通过行为艺术、工作坊、艺术家对谈等方式，我们尝试一种不被定性的场地概念；此外，在工作人员的带领下，通过随机且自发的行为，我们将和观众一起，进一步探讨当代艺术和个体之间的张力与投射。结合场内设计，观众的在场和行为将成为展览的一部分，以制造一种更为恒动的场域。
