The Longing Extinction: Dialogue is a solo project by artist Yangcheng Guo, presented as part of the YES! Art Festival at the Beijing Times Art Museum. The exhibition derives its title from Yang’s early experimental video work The Longing Extinction, which explores alternative forms of consciousness through a lens of mysticism and metaphysical inquiry.
This exhibition serves as a focused mid-point reflection on Yangcheng Guo’s evolving practice, assembling six sculptural installations alongside a series of video works and preparatory sketches. Among the highlights is the debut of The Turbulent Silence series—a conceptual investigation that merges speculative temporalities with imagined futures. Through a deliberate dislocation and recombination of time, space, and cultural codes, the artist constructs a multidimensional narrative space, one that exists apart from, yet in tension with, the material world.
In The Longing Extinction: Dialogue, Yang’s work becomes an open system—a field of shifting symbols and states—that invites viewers into a conversation on dissolution, memory, and the uncertain architectures of what is to come.

仰成的个展项目“对话：向往的灭亡”近期于北京时代美术馆中的野生青年艺术节（YES! Art Festival）中呈现。展览名“对话：向往的灭亡”源自仰成初期同名的实验性影像“向往的灭亡”，从神秘主义的视角展开不同生命意识的脉络。
本次展览通过六件装置雕塑作品和系列影像作品，以及艺术家相关手稿，对仰成近期的创作实践进行阶段性地回顾与梳理。展览中包括首次呈现的“汹涌的沉默”系列，其基于观念意识剖析与未来情景预设，通过对时间、空间和文化的并置重组，共同构建其展览抽离于现实世界的多维叙事场域。
