Earth Tipping Point is a cross-media art initiative grounded in the urgent discourse of environmental protection and sustainability. Launched by Swire Coca-Cola Guangdong, the project aims to build a multi-year, publicly oriented platform that supports and empowers emerging artists from around the world to engage with the critical ecological realities of our time.
The 2022 edition of the exhibition brought together a wide array of contemporary works by young artists whose practices examine the intricate relationships between the planet’s condition, biodiversity, and human behavior. Spanning ecological research, biopolitical commentary, and site-specific observation, the exhibition offered a multidimensional artistic inquiry into the fragile equilibrium that defines our contemporary environmental moment.
We live amid a worsening planetary crisis—marked by wildfires, floods, storms, droughts, mass extinction, and systemic illnesses. The participating artists respond to these conditions with diverse visual languages, revealing the contemporary urgency embedded in ecological themes. Their works challenge anthropocentric narratives and instead foreground the entangled fate of human and non-human life.
As climate change emerges not just as a scientific concern but a cultural and existential reckoning, Earth Tipping Point becomes a site for public imagination and dialogue. The exhibition proposes innovative aesthetic channels to reconnect with the natural world, expanding our capacity to visualize—and act upon—a more sustainable and interdependent future.

“地球临界点计划”是立足于地球环境保护与可持续理念的跨媒介艺术实践计划。该计划由广东太古可口可乐牵头，面向全球优秀的青年艺术家，打造持续数年的公益扶持计划。
2022年度艺术展览旨在鼓励和支持海内外将地球现状、生物环境、人类行为等作为创作立足的青年艺术家。展览中的当代艺术作品从自然环境研究到生物生存现状的呈现，从对在地性的观察到对人类发展模式的探讨，一并化为艺术的种子，成就了这场多维度探究地球环境现状的艺术展览。
人类正生活在不断恶化的地球危机中：火灾、洪水、风暴、干旱、大规模灭绝、癌症等等，青年艺术家对地球问题的多元呈现，凸显了话题与内容的当代属性。全球人类越来越意识到气候变化的紧迫性以及激活公共领域中这种话语的重要性。我们正以新的方式看待世界，展览将为我们加强与自然界的连接提供创新的沟通场景，激发你我想象、关注一个更加可持续的未来。
